Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) Panel Tanks are modular water storage solutions designed for durability, hygiene, and ease of installation. Manufactured using high-quality SMC panels, these tanks are ideal for potable water, fire-fighting systems, and industrial applications.
The modular sectional assembly allows complete flexibility to configure capacities for compact basements, plant rooms, or elevated roofs where traditional one-piece tanks cannot be transported. Built from non-corrosive composite materials, they provide an exceptionally long service life while maintaining the purity and temperature of the stored liquid.
Depending on project specifications, structural criteria, and volume requirements, we provide two proven panel manufacturing categories:
Manufactured under high temperature and high hydraulic pressure using advanced compression moulding technology and precision matched dies.
Manufactured under strictly controlled shop floor conditions to deliver dependable mechanical quality and performance.
Engineered to strict dimensional tolerances to ensure easy on-site alignment and dependable hydrostatic load capacity:
| Parameter | Design Specification |
|---|---|
| Panel Material | GRP / SMC reinforced composite matrix |
| Panel Thickness | 8 mm – 16 mm (stepped gradient selected according to overall tank height) |
| Panel Modular Sizes | Standard 1m × 1m and 1m × 0.5m modular panels |
| Tank Height Options | 1m to 5m height configurations (fully customizable) |
| Temperature Resistance | Continuous operation up to 55°C |
| Sealant System | Food-grade waterproof sealing material with high-durability EPDM sealing gaskets |
Each sectional tank is supplied as a comprehensive modular package ready for on-site erection:
Hot-pressed panels are molded using high hydraulic compression under high temperatures with matched metal dies, providing maximum density and uniform fiber orientation for large or high-head tanks. Cold-pressed panels are cured under ambient/controlled shop floor conditions, offering a cost-effective alternative for lower pressure requirements while retaining corrosion and UV resistance.
Our panels vary between 8 mm and 16 mm. We use a stepped gradient design: thicker panels (up to 16 mm) are placed at the bottom tier where hydrostatic pressure is highest, while lighter panels (8 mm to 10 mm) are utilized for upper levels and roof covers.
Every joint interface is fitted with food-grade waterproof EPDM elastomeric gaskets and torqued with corrosion-resistant SS 304 or HDG fasteners, producing an impermeable seal certified safe for potable water.
Panel tanks require a series of parallel concrete plinth beams spaced typically 1 meter apart. Our team places a Hot-Dip Galvanized (HDG) steel skid base frame directly over these plinths before assembling the bottom panels.
