Manufactured using high-quality fiberglass reinforced with durable thermoset resins, GRP platforms offer excellent structural performance while maintaining a low overall deadweight compared to traditional steel structures. Unlike steel platforms that corrode, pit, and require frequent recoating, GRP platforms do not rust, demand zero maintenance, and remain structurally stable even in extreme outdoor climates and aggressive chemical atmospheres.
Our platforms are engineered as fully integrated composite systems combining pultruded structural beams (I-beams, H-beams, and channels), anti-slip molded or pultruded gratings, ergonomic safety handrails, and vertical access ladders or stairways.
Every Eissa GRP platform is engineered to project load parameters (dead load, live load, and wind shear), configured with interlocking composite sub-components:
| Component | Design & Material Execution |
|---|---|
| Primary Support Framing | Heavy-duty pultruded GRP I-Beams, H-Beams, and C-Channels providing rigid structural spans and high load distribution. |
| Flooring / Decking | FRP molded or pultruded gratings (25 mm, 38 mm, or 50 mm depth) with permanent quartz-grit slip resistance. |
| Perimeter Safety Guardrails | Modular GRP handrail systems (50 mm box/round profile) with mid-rails and 150 mm integrated toe kickplates. |
| Access Ladders & Stairs | Integrated vertical safety cage ladders or heavy-duty GRP stair stringers with anti-slip stair treads. |
| Mounting Hardware & Brackets | Structural composite angle brackets assembled with Grade 316 Stainless Steel fasteners to ensure joint longevity. |
GRP platforms weigh roughly one-fourth to one-third of equivalent structural steel platforms. This drastic weight reduction simplifies rooftop and mezzanine retrofits, minimizes structural foundation requirements, and allows manual on-site assembly without mobile cranes.
We provide both options. Depending on site access and shipping logistics, platforms can be delivered fully fabricated and match-marked, or supplied as flat-packed modular components with detailed erection drawings for rapid field bolting.
Yes. Because GRP is electrically non-conductive and non-magnetic, our platforms eliminate inductive heating and electrical arc risks. They require no earthing or ground bonding, making them the industry benchmark for substations and switchyards.
Our platform grating options include embedded coarse silica quartz grit (providing exceptional slip resistance even when submerged in oils or polymers) as well as concave meniscus surfaces and solid chequered cover plates for enclosed spill control.
